Record Drawings

Many houses built before the 1970s do not have recorded copies of existing floorplans held at the local council. In order to design new improvements to an existing home or building, we need to understand the existing building properly.

A site visit and measure of the existing structure is necessary to gather information.
The amount of required Record Drawings will vary with the type and complexity of new project desired by the owner.

AS-Built Amendments

Council may allow changes to be undertaken as a minor variation, however if a formal amendment is required, this will attract additional Council Fee’s and a new Building Consent Amendment process.

Council Liaison

Drawings and associated documents are submitted to Council for Building Consent Processes

Local Authorities have an obligation to process the consent within 20 working days following official receipt. DRAFTLINE will Act as Agent to lead this process, work through any issues, as there may be clarifications and extra information required.
